Using the Image Viewer

All of the documents in the case at each level appear in a list on the left side of the Image Viewer screen. Click on other document types in the list on the left side of the window to view them.

Once the image is in the viewer window, use the controls at the top and bottom of the screen to manipulate the image.

Note: If you mouse over each button, a brief description will pop onto the screen to identify the button's function.

(The features are described below in the order that they appear on the tool bar above).

Print−To print the image in the viewer to your printer.

Zoom Area−To magnify a selected area of the document.

Zoom In−To increase the size of the entire document within the window.

Zoom Out−To decrease the size of the entire document within the window.

Magnify−To magnify small sections of the document.

Stretch−To show the document at full size within the viewing window.

Fit to Width−To view the full width of the document within the viewing window.

Fit to Length−To view the full length of the document within the viewing window.

Fit to Page−To view the entire document within the viewing window.

Rotate (right arrow)−To turn the document 90 degrees clockwise within the viewing window.

Rotate (left arrow)−To turn the document 90 degrees counter-clockwise within the viewing window.

Flip−To flip the document 180 degrees within the viewing window.

Invert−To switch between a positive and negative image. (Note: this is sometimes useful for documents on which the ink is very faint).

Controls located at the bottom of the screen

The arrows and the scroll bar will allow you to page through a document easily.

The i button will reveal the technical properties of the image, such as format, file size, etc.

The yellow circle (+) button provides an enhancement feature that will darken the ink on the document. This is particularly useful when viewing faded text.

The rectangular button with the up-arrow opens up a contrast-adjustment feature presented below:

Use the scroll at the right to darken and lighten the document as desired.

Note: Use this feature to adjust documents for optimal printing quality.
